Vanessa Rouzier, RCC

BIOGRAPHY
Vanessa (she/her) is a Registered Clinical Counsellor who believes in the uniqueness and potential of every individual. She helps clients connect with their authentic selves and create meaningful change by drawing on their strengths, values, and goals. Vanessa prioritizes the therapeutic relationship, offering a compassionate, non-judgmental space where clients can safely explore their thoughts, emotions, and inner experiences.
Originally from Quebec, Vanessa brings over 15 years of experience in the field of mental health. Early in her career, she supported children and adolescents facing emotional challenges, which deepened her understanding of how early experiences shape identity and influence well-being throughout life.
Vanessa is passionate about the mind–body connection and supports clients in reconnecting with their bodies as a safe and grounding home base. Her approach integrates science and compassion, helping clients understand how thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations interact to impact overall health.
With a background in coaching, teaching, and competitive sports, Vanessa combines empathy with a practical, goal-oriented focus. She has over 10 years of experience teaching and supervising at the university level and as a parental coach. Her practice draws from evidence-based approaches including EMDR, CBT, ACT, Self-compassion, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and DBT. She offers virtual counselling in English and French.
Outside of her counselling practice, Vanessa strives to live the balanced life she encourages in her clients. She enjoys running, rock climbing, yoga, long walks, cooking, and spending time with her husband and two daughters. Those who know her describe her as positive, compassionate, and someone who naturally sees the best in others.
